We manage safety through a proactive, behavior-based approach which focuses on developing safe thought processes when planning work and following through to ensure each employee takes safe actions. Jensen employs safety-minded individuals who are skilled at assessing, eliminating, and controlling risk on a daily basis.
Our proactive approach starts by incorporating safety into every project from the bid process forward. Working together as a team, our office and field staff reviews methods and determines how the project will be constructed while managing risk as a key element. Within this process, our goal is to ensure that safety, production and quality go hand-in-hand.
Throughout the construction of every project, every employee is challenged to recognize, correct and report hazards before they become incidents. Every employee has the right and responsibility to stop work anytime he or she feels there is an unsafe condition. Safe work practices are not an afterthought on our projects.
Our process has proven to be successful and beneficial, allowing our clients to stay on budget and schedule without costly and time consuming accidents. Our commitment to safety has also been recognized by a number of industry awards, including twice being recipient of the AGC of Minnesota’s Jeff Jensen Construction Safety Excellence Award (which happens to bear the namesake of our past Owner and President).
